The Barcelona History Museum commemorates the International Day in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust with the exhibition ‘I offer you the birds’. The show by Marta Marin-Domine is exhibited in the Chapel of St. Agatha to 28th ‘April. The exhibition includes different sound and audiovisual resources explaining that there were up to 127 species of birds in the Auschwitz concentration camp. However, none of the surviving from the 18,000 average number of people who lived there recognized to hear any bird on the field. The exhibition is an experience to reflect on the reality distortion caused by violence in people.
In Auschwitz were also the grandparents of Dory Sontheimer, the main character of the Documentary The seven boxes. She discovered it when, in her 52 years old, she found a few labeled boxes that led her to a trip to rediscover their identity.
